Help Save Charlie

Dear Help Save Charlie,

So that there is no confusion, here is the latest status of Charlie’s case.

On January 11, 2013, David, Charlie’s owner, agreed to settle Charlie’s case to save Charlie’s life.

[Keep in mind that for 5 months, David nor any media or public entity has been allowed to see Charlie. San Francisco City Attorney Deputy Margaret Baumgartner has maintained throughout that David cannot have Charlie back under any circumstances. The first reason was because Charlie was aggressive. The later excuse was that David was aggressive even though David is a law abiding citizen and David has followed all the directions of ACC and the courts without any violations whatsoever. There is no record of David being aggressive with anyone at ACC, any San Francisco official, or any Police Officer]

Also, note that prior to the agreement, Charlie was already placed in an unknown location isolated and neglected with no information as to his whereabouts.]

The agreement states that David is to relinquish Charlie to ACC [San Francisco Animal Care and Control] and they will not euthanize [kill] Charlie.

That David is to propose placements or a sanctuary for Charlie.

That after David proposes placements, ACC will place Charlie in the appropriate sanctuary giving the 3rd party full authority over what happens to Charlie.

The rest of the agreement talks about taking money from David Adolpho Gizzarelli to pay for Charlie’s isolation at ACC for 5 months with no human contact, no walks outside, and no visits from his family.

There is nothing in the agreement that states Charlie is to be placed in a temporary location, given to another entity to decompress, or to be trained or allowed to be outside in public. This other page is saying that Charlie is being trained, decompressed, and already in another placement location.

David tried to contact San Francisco and ACC on several occasions to start the process of proposing placements. They would not let David speak to anyone and have not returned David’s voice mails and messages.

Help Save Charlie is contemplating what to do next since it appears that San Francisco and ACC are in violation of the agreement settled in Federal Court.

At this time, no one knows where Charlie is or if he is even alive. Some photos have surfaced on another Facebook page showing Charlie relaxing outside in an unknown location. It appears Charlie has already been moved or placed. The photos also show Charlie being skinny with malnutrition, having a bad skin condition with nicks and bites, and also some wear on his face from a muzzle.

Charlie shows no signs of aggression in the photos.

These are the facts and the truth. There is nothing being hidden. There is no bullshit here. This is what is happening and this is the current status.
